Our Community

The River Capital Foundation

The River Capital Foundation was established in 2006. Each year, River Capital allocates a proportion of its profits to organisations working to support people who fall through society’s cracks, with a focus on children, mental health and indigenous communities. The Foundation, like our business, will focus on strategic partnerships, sustainability, collaboration, adding value and assisting to finding better ways to do things.

Allocations are determined by the Board and by our staff, with all River Capital team members encouraged to develop an interest in philanthropy and to participate in the decision making process.

Our work in the community is about connectedness. Connectedness with our business, our investors, and the communities in which we operate. Our core values of integrity, performance, courage, humility and ambition flow through to our philanthropic work. We take enormous pride in the meaningful and strategic relationships we have.

We have strategic relationships with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, the Mirabel Foundation, the Inspire Foundation and Pilotlight Australia. Our office and facilities are open - for us to share and help others. To teach, lead and inspire. It is an intrinsic part of our culture and who we are. We are committed to finding new ways to make a difference.

Like the performance of our investment funds, we expect that our Foundation will continue to grow and prosper. We believe that at the heart of a successful business is strategic leadership and we are very proud to take the lead.
