River Capital Completes Acquisition of Aspire2
River Capital is pleased to announce that on 1 July 2024 it acquired Aspire2 Group Limited, a leading New Zealand-based education business, from Archer Capital. Specific details of the transaction are undisclosed. River Capital is an Australian-based investment firm established in 1996, with this acquisition forming a part of River Capital’s growing Strategic Investments platform.
River Capital would like to thank Archer Capital for being great stewards of the business since their acquisition in 2015. Aspire2 is one of New Zealand's leading players in the vocational training and education sector, comprising 8 Private Training Establishments with delivery across 28 campuses and training centres in New Zealand.
Aspire2 management team have re-committed to the business and are excited about future growth plans. Asan investor in education businesses globally, River Capital has seen firsthand the positive impact that successful education businesses can have.
River Capital, along with the Aspire2’s management team, has a clear vision to grow the business, partly supported by further acquisitions, including exploring opportunities in Australia. The River Capital run board will be supported by Andrew Larke, who will Chair the investment.
